The Caminho Frances is the route with the greatest historical tradition and the most internationally recognized. Its route through the north of the Iberian Peninsula was precisely fixed in 1135. The Camino de Santiago is popularly associated with the Via Láctea, as it supposedly indicates the path to Santiago de Compostela at night. The word Compostela comes from the field of stars. The French Way is the “path” associated with Via Láctea.

The popularization of the Camino in Brazil and around the world owes much to the writer Paulo Coelho, who in his book “O Diário de Um Mago”, inserts the scenario and legends of the Camino in the context of the story of his book, which had extraordinary repercussions. Whatever your motivation for discovering this medieval-spiritual-cultural route, the fact is that this path has attracted people from several continents, including thousands of Brazilians eager to discover this scenario where kings, blesseds, saints, warriors, and which in the literature has already generated many reports of experiences.
